As a self-employed technical writer since 2002, I have completed a wide variety of projects for a diverse set of clients, some of which are summarized here.
ProConnections, Inc. - Developed user documentation for audio/video products including a high definition video recorder, Internet communication systems for use in long-term health care and telemedicine, and administrative software for audio/video server deployments.
SpaceClaim Corporation - Updated online help for new release of CAD
software. Compiled Release Notes, produced a User's Guide, developed an
extensive glossary, and assisted with localization into three languages.
WebDialogs (now IBM) - Developed online help for web conferencing products including an application sharing plug-in for Skype. Created an online help system for an administrative portal used by partners to customize the branded interface. Submitted finished work in ASP, XML, and HTML formats.
hawkeye - Assisted the marketing consultant with deliverables for a leading laboratory instrument manufacturer. Projects included a white paper on laboratory compliance and content for a brochure on analytical testing for food safety.
Smith & Nephew - Used QuarkXPress to extensively revise documentation for a high definition video camera system used in endoscopic surgery.
Grady Research, Inc. - Authored a 100+ page installation and service manual for a patient table for fluoroscopic imaging.
L-1 Identity Solutions (formerly Viisage) - Wrote hardware and software documentation for secure identification technologies including biometrics, driver testing and licensing, and document authentication. Developed responses to requests for proposals (RFPs) for digital driver license
Polycom, Inc. - Developed white paper, application note, and tutorial on configuring PVX™ conferencing software for secure broadband connections.
SMaL Camera - Developed white papers on pixel architecture and dynamic range in CMOS image sensors.
